Once upon a time, I used Bumble&Bumble Surf Spray and loved the way it bulked up my curls, but I couldn't justify spending that much on a styling product. So, when not martha suggested a DIY alternative was possible, I picked up the simple ingredients on my next trip to the grocery. Voila, success!1 tsp. epsom salt (I found mine in the pharmacy section)
1 generous squirt of water-based hair gel (Water should be one of the first ingredients. I used Garnier Fructis; seems to work fine, but that flourescent color is strange...)
4 ounces water
Combine in spray bottle (an empty Bath & Body spray bottle worked well for me & imparted a lovely scent!) and shake well. Enjoy beachy-fabulous hair.
