My new favorite web utility: Google Calendar. I've been struggling with an ancient version of Palm Desktop and .mac-less iCal to try and keep track of birthdays, appointments, and assorted life events, but have declared Google Calendar the clear organizational winner. It has similar functionality to my old standbys (repeat event scheduling, categorization), with the added bonus of being accessible from any internet connection and the option to notify me of events with text messages to my phone. One downside: I'll have to think of new excuses for missing important events now.
