Airplants

Via Shelterrific, there might be a cure for my lack of green thumb in the indoor plant arena: airplants. As for watering & environment, the Mother Nature's Gifts website FAQs explain:

Submerge plants in water for 1-2 hours once a week. If you forget to water them they can go for up to 2 weeks without water.

Airplants can tolerate any window except south, as they do not like all day sun. Partial sun is fine (2-3 hours OK). They love bright light, and the brighter the light the sooner they bloom and miltiply. They will also grow in an office under fluorescent lighting.
