Roadtrip!

The good news: we enjoyed two great days of skiing on Snowshoe Mountain. The weather cleared up and our cabin was awesome!

The bad news: we almost didn't make it there!

Six of us headed out last Thursday in the Suburban in the middle of a snowstorm that turned into ice just as we reached West Virginia. We hit a slick spot late in the evening and ended up going headfirst into a concrete barrier. All of us walked away relatively unharmed, give or take some bruises and a gallon of windshield fluid to the head :0) They closed the highway right after our wreck (information that would have been helpful 20 minutes earlier).

One disabled car and many hours later, we finally found a hotel with two rooms (apparently the city was sold out for a wrestling tournament), and the next day--with some creative calling for rental cars & towing--we were able to salvage some of our vacation.

Finally the story I've been waiting for. I can't believe you actually went skiiing, too. Hope your head is okay and you had fun. Looking forward to the pictures.
