Northside Farmers Market

Kendall tipped me off to a new farmer's market we need to explore: Northside.

What's the deal? In addition to seasonal produce grown locally (everything from raspberries to pecans!), expect free events and live music, plus Shadeau bread and fresh local cheese. For those who prefer to grow their own, they'll find perennials, annuals and fresh herbs ready for planting.

This year -- the market's seventh season -- local artists, seamstresses and soap makers will be selling locally produced products.

Perfect for? Foodies!

Where to get it? Northside Farmers Market is every Wednesday from 4-7:30 p.m. beginning June 4 (in the parking lot at Hamilton Avenue and Lingo Street across from Sidewinder Coffee & Tea).

This must be really close to Nora's house. Can't we give her the credit card and get her to buy us all a pile of fresh berries for Thursdays? We could call it something catchy like, "Nora buys us all healthy stuff on Wednesdays so we can eat it Thursdays during the spring."

I'm sold on the idea!
