Over the holiday weekend, I snuck in a trip back home to Carmel. On the 4th, we packed up a picnic dinner and Mom, Dad, Doug-E-Fresh and I caught the CarmelFest fireworks show on the Monon Trail. It was an impressive display for a small town (if Carmel is still considered small? I swear the development has quadrupled since I last lived there). Doug made sure to say goodbye to all of the people around us as soon as the grande finale wrapped up, telling us all to go "hoooooooooooome."
