Overheard

Kendall stopped by for dinner one evening and in the course of conversation asked what our weekend plans included.

Doug: "Well on Sunday, I'm hosting my bible study group here."
Kendall: "Yeah, okay."
Doug: "No, really."
Kendall: "Is that code for hanging out and drinking beer?"

(Through my laughter, I had to finally nod in agreement that he was telling the truth.)
