Figs with goat cheese and honey

Looking for an excuse to whip up a batch up these figs featured on shelterrific's real life test kitchen.

Figs with Goat Cheese and Honey
6-8 fresh figs, trimmed and halved
2 oz. goat cheese
1 spring fresh thyme, leaves stripped and minced
1 Tbsp. honey

Preheat broiler. Arrange the figs in an ovenproof dish cut-side-up.

In a small bowl, mix together the goat cheese and thyme leaves. If your goat cheese is of the drier, crumbly variety, quickly warm it in the microwave for a few seconds to soften. Drizzle the figs with the honey, then spoon a dollop of the goat cheese onto each.

Broil figs 3-4 inches from the heat source, until goat cheese begins to brown and bubble slightly, about 5 minutes.
