Fire pit

On a recent cool evening, just perfect for a fire, Doug walked over to where the fire pit was stored for the winter, picked it up, and watched as the rusted bottom promptly fell out. Apparently our weather-proofing measures leave something to be desired.

Now I'm eyeing spots in the yard to locate a new fire pit, far away from our wood deck where Doug prefers to set up shop. So far, this DIY project is a frontrunner.
