Basement DIY: Stenciled Wall

Complicated duct work threw a challenge our way when space planning for the basement. When a low hanging area was unavoidable, I drew up some plans and our contractor was able to custom-build a desk to run under the soffit. The wall above felt a little plain, so I created a stencil with a plastic folder, a sharpie, an exacto knife, and lots of patience. Painting the main area was pretty straightforward (I googled a few professional stencil sites for tips), but going back along the edges was a bit trickier. I ended up slicing off a part of the stencil to finish up the sides and get the design as tight as possible.
