It's been a windy winter in my neighborhood, especially on garbage day. I understand this leads to emptied trash cans bouncing down the street. What I do not understand is how every lost can seems to find a home on my front sidewalk. I leave them out for several days, hoping the rightful owner(s) will claim them (no such luck), and end up looking like the lazy neighbor that doesn't know how to put her bins away. When I finally pull them up near the house, I feel like I'm stealing. If only they could just find a way home...
